Ask any church goers if they believe we are living in “the end times” and 9 out of 10 people will answer with a resounding yes. Ask those same church goers if they believe that Christ is going to return to this earth on May 21, 2011 and they will likely tell you that no man knows when Christ is going to return.
If I attempt to show them from the Bible, a book that they all say is the inerrant word of God, I am given blank stares which seem to indicate that they believe me to be a poor misguided fool, and most of these people refuse to even take a look for themselves. Instead, they are content to rely on what their churches have taught them. Little do they know that the Bible says God has abandon the churches and congregations worldwide, just as He abandon ancient Israel over 2000 years ago..
I do believe that I know what Noah must have felt like in his day as he proclaimed a similar message to a similar people.
It is easy for me to accept the mass unbelief in this day and age; for after all the Bible predicted this would be the case, so I am not perturbed by the stares, the false accusations, and all the other things that go along with someone who is thought of as a heretic. In fact, as I continue in my current ways and continue to read the Bible outside the established churches, I am more convinced that it is not I who am the heretic. I thank God that He has chosen for His own sake and for His own good pleasure a people that have not bowed their knees to the miserable gods of this world.
Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. (Isa 13:6)
